Twila graduated from Vandalia Community High School in 1978, Western Illinois University in 1981 and St. Louis University School of Law in 1984. While in law school, she took part in Moot Court Competition and also worked under a temporary law license with the City of St. Louis Public Defender's Office-Homocide Division. During her summers away from law school, she worked for the Fayette County State's Attorney's office.
Upon graduating from law school, Twila accepted the position of Assistant State's Attorney for Effingham County, Illinois where she served for approximately one year under prosecutors Richard Runde and Rick Keller. Thereafter in 1985, she accepted a position in private practice with the then law firm of Schniederjon, Weber, Harvey & Stephens. Initially, her responsibilities as an associate with the firm included bank loan reviews and collections as well as criminal and family matters. She also served as Special Prosecutor for Effingham County, prosecuting select felonies which resulted in substantial prison terms, while teaching law related classes for both Kaskaskia and Lakeland Colleges.
Jim Harvey was later appointed judge of the Fourth Judicial Circuit and Hank Stephens left the firm, resulting in the transition to Schniederjon, Weber & Jarrett. Twila became a partner in the firm in 1988. Jim Jarrett later retired from the practice of law and the firm became Schniederjon, Weber & Orr. After 29 years of practicing law with the firm, Twila chose to live out her lifelong dream and launch her own private practice. The Law Group purchased the building that housed her former law firm, and she purchased their building located at 215 North Fourth Street, Effingham, IL. On January 1, 2014, the Orr Law Firm, LLC was formed and commenced operation.
With her in the Orr Law Firm, LLC were two paralegals, Jan Westendorf and Sherri Wohltman. Twila had the good fortune of working with Jan for 25 years and Sherri for 15 years when the new practice launched. Jan worked with Twila and Sherri up to nearly the time of her passing in early 2016. Sherri continues to work for the firm at this time.
In addition to general legal representation, Twila is an approved Guardian ad Litem for the representation of minor children in juvenile, adoption and family cases. The Orr Law Firm, LLC also provides mediation services. Twila handles more than 100 mediations annually, has basic and advanced mediation training, and both lectures and sponsors Continuing Legal Education seminars related to family law and mediation topics.
Twila is admitted to practice before the Southern and Central United States District Courts. She has argued cases before the Illinois Appellate Court and has lectured for Lorman Educational Services on judgment collections and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. She is a member of the following organizations: American Bar Association (30+ years), Illinois Bar Association (30+ years), Family Law Section of the Illinois Bar Association, Effingham County Bar Association (past president), Effingham Noon Rotary and Effingham County FISH Organization (board member). She is the past campaign chairwoman and past president of the Effingham County United Way where she was honored nationally during her tenure for a campaign that produced one of the highest annual increases in donations in the country. As president of the board of directors for the Effingham Child Development Center, she was recognized for her help in saving the center which provides affordable child care to low income families. Twila served for ten years on the Effingham County YMCA board, was past president of the Council of Catholic Woman at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, and was also a member of the Effingham Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She donates at least 40 hours per year in pro bono legal services to low income clients which includes pro bono services to Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance, and she also contributes mediation services on a limited pro bono basis.
Twila is married to David Orr, Sr., who retired as lieutenant from the Vandalia Correctional Center in 2011. They have two children. Laura Orr graduated from St. Anthony High School in 2008, earned a business degree with economic emphasis from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 2013, and now resides in the Central West End of St. Louis. Laura is employed by Mills Properties where she is involved in real estate development, property management and leasing; she has received numerous awards for her success as a leasing manager. David Orr, Jr. graduated from St. Anthony High School in 2010, earned a business degree with entrepreneurship emphasis from University of Arizona in 2013, and now resides in his home on Lake Sara in Effingham where he owns and operates various companies including Social Holdings, Inc., a social media management company delivering over 2,000,000 advertisement impressions daily. His success in business has allowed him to reside in South Africa during the winter months and also travel extensively throughout the world.

Holly received her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan, in May 2008. She was admitted to the Illinois Bar on November 6, 2008. Her practice focuses on estate planning and probate, guardianships, real estate, collections, landlord/tenant disputes and family law.
While attending law school, Holly volunteered at Elder Law of Michigan, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides legal assistance to seniors in Michigan. She also was a legal intern at Sixty-Plus, Inc. Elder Law Clinic, an in-house clinic that offered free legal services to individuals over 60 years of age in the Lansing, Michigan area.
She is a member of the Effingham County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. She is also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Effingham, Illinois and the Effingham Chamber of Commerce's YBNext. Holly serves as a member of the Board of Directors for CASA of Effingham County and as a member of the Board of Directors for Fear Nothing, a non-profit organization that raises funds for cancer research and provides support to local families and individuals undergoing cancer treatment. She is a former board member of STAR, a nonprofit organization created to help fund the problem solving courts in Effingham County.
The daughter of Mark and Dianna Hotze of Teutopolis, Holly is a 2001 graduate of Teutopolis High School and received a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University. Holly resides in Teutopolis with her husband, Blake, and their three sons, Owen, Mark and Leo.

K. Rick Keller graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1973 with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent in 1976 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar that same year. His practice is focused on real estate, family and general civil litigation.

Joining the Law Office of Zollie Arbogast in Casey, IL, he maintained that employment until accepting a position as Effingham County Assistant State's Attorney in 1978. He was elected and served as Effingham County State's Attorney from 1979 to 1984. He joined Braden & Keller from 1984 to 1991, then formed Meyer, Keller & Runde in 1991. He and Richard Runde formed the law partnership of Keller & Runde in 1993 and the two maintained that practice until merging with Orr Law, LLC in 2015.

Rick married Dana (Tate) Keller on May 28, 1982. The two have three children: Ben, Brendan and Blair, as well as one grandchild, Emmalyn. In his spare time, Rick enjoys umpiring baseball, cooking and playing music for St. Johns Lutheran Church.

Richard A. Runde

Richard A. Runde is a native of Teutopolis, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1974 with a degree in history. Thereafter, he attended John Marshall Law School where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 1977. He returned to his home area after law school and accepted a position with the Law Office of F. Ronald Ealy before accepting a position as Assistant State's Attorney in 1979. He was elected Effingham County State's Attorney in 1984. He later became a member of the firm of Meyer, Keller & Runde, then partnered with Rick Keller in the Keller & Runde firm in 1993. The two maintained that practice until merging with Orr Law, LLC in 2015.

Dick concentrates his practice in criminal defense and provate. He served as Effingham County Conflicts Public Defender for approximately 20 years. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lion's Club while also serving on the Board of Directors for the Teutopolis State Bank.

Married to Deb Jansen Runde, a nurse at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Dick is the father of five children: Julie Althoff (Josh) who is a Special Educational teacher at St. Anthony Schools, Dennis Runde (Kim) who is a carpenter for Mette Construction, Ted Runde who is employed with Vantage Technologies, Tim Runde who is a carpenter for Mette Construction, and Ann Runde who is a senior at Teutopolis High School. He and his wife have seven grandchildren.

Madison is a 2006 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a 2011 graduate of the DePaul University College of Law. Upon graduating from law school, she accepted an associate attorney position at Brainard Law Offices, LLC in Charleston. She later worked at the Mattoon law firm of Winter-Black & Baker before accepting a position at Orr Law, LLC.
Madison is an approved guardian ad litem in the Second, Fourth and Fifth Judicial Circuits. Her practice focuses on family law and creditor's rights.
Madison lives in rural Jasper county with her husband Mike and sons Malcolm and Steven.

Sherri was born and raised in Effingham. She graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1985 and Lakeland Community College in Mattoon in 1987 where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. She went on to receive certificates from Penn Foster Career School as a Legal Assistant and Medical Office Assistant.
Her first job was as a dance and gymnastic instructor. She later worked for her father, Lloyd Ziegler, at their family-owned Sears store. Sherri began her career as a paralegal in 1987 at the Law Office of Fred Hicks. She accompanied Mr. Hicks to court, sat at counsel table, assisted during hearings and took notes of the proceedings. She worked for Mr. Hicks until the birth of her first child in 1993. Thereafter, she worked from her home and later in the office for Professional Software, Inc., her husband’s employer at the time.
Sherri returned to the legal field in September of 1998 at Schniederjon, Weber & Jarrett. She and her husband, Jeff, went into the office to sign their Wills, she had an interview immediately following and was hired all in the same day. The firm changed its name to Schniederjon, Weber & Orr when Jim Jarrett retired from the practice of law in order to become a teacher and baseball coach.
Currently Sherri primarily assists Twila with family law cases. She has volunteered at the Future Fairs to answer questions from junior high and high school students regarding her career as a Paralegal.
She married Jeff Wohltman of Dieterich a week after graduating from college in June of 1987. Jeff is currently a software engineer at RedCard in St. Louis, Missouri. They have two sons. Jeremy, age 24, graduated from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science and then earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Indiana Technical Institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He attended both colleges on basketball scholarships. Jeremy is now a junior software developer for Hewlett-Packard in Houston, Texas. Jason, age 21, graduated from Effingham High School, attended Lakeland College and recently transferred to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where he will earn a bachelor's degree in Historical Studies with a minor in Web Technology. While at Effingham High School, he was a 4-year member of the tennis team and earned a berth to play in the state tennis tournament in Chicago during his junior and senior years. He finished in the top 50 teams in the state in 2014.
The Wohltman family is an active one. Jeff and Jason enjoy playing tennis during the summer while Sherri and Jeremy enjoying running, walking, biking and weight lifting. Sherri competed in her first 5K race in April of 2013 on the University of Illinois campus, along with Jeremy. She also competed in her first half marathon at Walt Disney World in February of 2015, then returned to Walt Disney World to run a 10K in February of 2016 and has completed 5Ks in St. Louis, MO, Houston, TX and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her goal is to complete a races in as many states as possible.

Maria is the daughter of Dan and Christy Flach. She grew up in Cumberland County north of Montrose with her four sisters - Bethany, Lauren, Morgan and Shelby. She attended Dieterich schools and graduated in the top 10% of her class from Dieterich High School in 2005. She obtained an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Lake Land College in 2007, and later received her Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University in May of 2009.
Her love of math and numbers made choosing a major easy, and during her time at EIU, Maria worked as a teller for First Neighbor Bank at their branches in Toledo, Greenup and Charleston. After graduating from EIU, Maria briefly moved to the Chicago suburb of Naperville, where her now husband was posted as a state trooper following his completion of the Illinois State Police Academy in December 2008. There she took a job with Amcore Bank. She traveled to several of their branches for work, including Elgin, Aurora, Lombard, St. Charles, downtown Chicago, etc.
In March of 2010, Zack was transferred from District 2 in Elgin to District 12 in Effingham. They moved back to the area and bought a house in Dieterich. Maria was offered a bookkeeping job with Resch Siemer Law Office in November 2010. Her bookkeeping tasks at Resch Siemer Law Office included billing, monitoring A/R, account balancing, A/P, and generating reports and spreadsheets. Maria also assisted the attorneys and other staff members with a variety of responsibilities including the drafting of letters, pleadings and orders for court.
Maria moved from Resch Siemer Law Office to Orr Law, LLC with attorney Holly Hotze Lynch in August 2014. Maria works as assistant to both Holly and Rick; her assistance is primarily in the areas of family law, collections, estate planning, real estate and probate.

Maria and Zack were married on June 11, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lillyville. They welcomed their twins, Liam and Bailey, into their family on October 18, 2015. They currently reside in the country near Montrose.

Sagan (Hartman) Calkins was born in Nebraska and moved to Effingham in 1995. She attended St. Anthony as well as Effingham schools where she graduated in 2006. After graduating high school, she furthered her education by obtaining certifications as both a Pharmacy Technician and Nursing Assistant.
Sagan joined the staff of Orr Law in the fall of 2016 as receptionist and assistant for Madison Mullady-Winter. She came to the firm with an extensive customer service background and a willingness to learn legal secretarial skills. She focuses her assistance in the areas of family law and collections.
Sagan and her five year old daughter, Addelyn, reside in Effingham.

Joyce Bluhm

Joyce retired from the law firm of Resch Siemer in 2014 but agreed to join Orr Law on a part time basis. Joyce has been a legal assistant for 30 years. Prior thereto, she was a stay-at-home mother to her four children. She is a seamstress and enjoys sewing, particularly piecing quilts. Her other interests include traveling with husband, Bob, horseback riding (which she just began 2 years ago) and her 10 grandsons. She is expecting her first great granddaughter in August of 2017. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Effingham.
Joyce has a long history as a paralegal and currently assists Rick with real estate transactions.

Ben is the son of Rick and Dana Keller and works as the primary bookkeeper for Orr Law. He is currently attending college to become an accountant. Ben resides in Effingham.
